The early part of the 20th century saw the renaissance of one of the oldest crafts, the ceramic pottery. Among the most notable ceramicts were a host of Hungarians who quickly established international reputations including Istvan Gador, Geza Gorka, Margit Kovacs and Maria Rahmer. As a result of revolutions and upheavals in their native Hungary, many of these artists found exile in foreign countries.

The Ernst Gallery strives not only to trade, but to promote, research and re-discover the works of these artists.
